Tinka Studio is the experimental wing of Tinka Media.
It’s where I explore what narrative can become - beyond client briefs, and toward new formats, communities, and business models.

We create story-led experiments, formats, and prototypes that ask deeper questions:
How do we process change in real time? How do we honor memory? How do we build cultural tools, not just content?

Why Tinka Studio Exists

Some stories don’t start with a client brief. They start with a feeling that something’s missing. A silence. A space not yet filled. A question no one’s asked aloud.

Tinka Studio is where I follow those threads.

It’s where I make room for story as intuition, as cultural repair, as play. It’s not a product pipeline. It’s a practice. A way to stay close to what matters before the market decides it’s useful.

In a world that rewards speed and clarity, Tinka Studios holds space for:

  • Stories that are still forming

  • Experiments that need breathing room

  • Community that forms around care

  • Legacy that starts in a voice memo

This is where I try things that don’t fit yet—new formats, new models, new ways of listening.

Some will grow into movements. Some will stay beautifully small. But all of them begin with the same impulse:

“This story matters. Even if no one asked for it yet.”

How are projects funded?

Tinka Studio is where we explore new formats, communities, and cultural tools through narrative. These experiments aren’t always commissioned, but they are always intentional. And they need resourcing to grow.

We fund projects through a mix of:

  • Many of our story experiments are supported by cultural and philanthropic foundations who believe in slow, human-first storytelling.

    • Podcast Tower was made possible by Stiftung Mercator Schweiz and Gebert Rüf Stiftung

    • My Survival Story was supported by SRF’s Transmedia Fund and Pacte de l’audiovisuel

  • We co-create with institutions that want to explore new ways of listening, reflecting, and engaging.

    • Made With Impact was produced in partnership with Impact Hub Zürich, with additional support from foundations and sponsors

  • Some initiatives are powered by individual contributions and belief.

    • HER Zürich and Podcast Club were built with the support of a generous community of contributors and donors who helped us launch grassroots story ecosystems.

  • We also integrate narrative prototypes into our Tinka Media collaborations, bringing Studio curiosity into strategy, facilitation, and podcasting projects for mission-aligned clients.
